My Background
Angel Saint Martin is a multidisciplinary artist who blends fashion design and textile science. Her wearable art merges surface design with self-symbolism, creating sculptural garments that explore the intersection of fantasy and fashion. Using sewing, painting, patternmaking, embroidery, millinery, and sculptural techniques, she crafts layered fabric forms that transform the body into surreal, narrative cloth stories. Angel holds a B.S. in Fashion Design and an M.F.A. in Textile Arts and Costume Design from the University of California, Davis, and an M.H. in Visual Art and Media from Tiffin University.
My Experience
Formerly an academic, Angel Saint Martin taught fashion design, coordinated art programs, and presented clothing collections at more than thirty runway shows over seven years before launching her own brand. An award-winning artist and designer, her work has been recognized through publications, residencies, and prestigious honors, including Surface Design Journal, Blue Guitar Magazine, Viva La Vida, the Arizona Apparel Foundation Designer Residency, the ArtsBridge Fellowship, the President’s Undergraduate Fellowship, Best of Show in Wearable Art at the Arizona State Fair, and the Award of Excellence in Cultural Fine Art at the California State Fair. She is also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and the Costume Society of America.
My Vision
Angel Saint Martin envisions a luxury art-fashion house that creates one-of-a-kind sculptural garments that fuse textile mastery, cultural heritage, and environmental storytelling. Guided by “ars textilus luxus” the art of luxurious textiles her work elevates fabric to a medium of narrative, ritual, and ecological consciousness. Drawing on folkloric textile traditions, ceremonial costume, and avant-garde design, each piece transforms the wearer into a living artifact, bridging past and present, human and nature, imagination and reality. Through meticulous craftsmanship, sustainable materials, and rigorous research into costume history and the humanities, Angel Saint Martin produces heirloom-quality ensembles that celebrate individuality, preserve cultural memory, and honor biodiversity. Her vision is to offer collectors, curators, and institutions rare, enduring works that embody artistry, storytelling, and ethical innovation at the intersection of haute couture, fine art, and environmental stewardship.
