ABOUT THE ARTIST

 Angel Saint Martin is a multidisciplinary artist who integrates fashion design and textile science. Her wearable art combines surface design and self-symbolism to create sculptural garments and accessories that examine the relationship between fantasy and fashion. She employs sewing, painting, patternmaking, embroidery, millinery, and sculptural techniques to produce layered fabric forms that transform the body into surreal, narrative works. Angel holds a B.S. in Fashion Design and an M.F.A. in Textile Arts and Costume Design from the University of California, Davis, as well as an M.H. in Visual Art and Media from Tiffin University.

 Angel Saint Martin has taught fashion design at the collegiate level, coordinated art programs, and presented her brand’s collections at over thirty runway shows. As an artist and designer, her work has been recognized through publications, residencies, and honors, including features in Surface Design Journal, Blue Guitar Magazine, and Viva La Vida, as well as the Arizona Apparel Foundation Designer Residency, ArtsBridge Fellowship, President’s Undergraduate Fellowship, Best of Show in Wearable Art at the Arizona State Fair, and the Award of Excellence in Cultural Fine Art at the California State Fair. 

Angel Saint Martin envisions a luxury art-fashion house that creates couture garments by blending textile expertise, cultural heritage, and environmental storytelling. Guided by “ars textilus luxus,” she elevates fabric into a medium for narrative, ritual, and ecological awareness. Drawing on folkloric traditions, ceremonial costume, and avant-garde design, each piece transforms the wearer into a living artifact, connecting past and present, humanity and nature. Through meticulous craftsmanship, sustainable materials, and research in costume history and the humanities, Angel Saint Martin produces heirloom-quality ensembles that celebrate individuality, preserve cultural memory, honor biodiversity, and promote environmental stewardship.
